Summary

THE AUTHOR DISCUSSES INSULATION PROBLEMS IN TERMS OF SEASON AND THE VARIOUS POSSIBILITIES OF HEAT PROTECTION IN SUMMER. HE REPORTS THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF OPTICAL HEAT CONTROL BY MIRRORS PLACED BETWEEN TRANSPARENT PANELS, THEN THE LAWS OF OPTICAL CONTROL AND OF THE CONTROL OF THIN METAL PLATES ON BOTH FACES, FORMING A SIMPLE MIRROR SYSTEM AND THE CONCENTRATION SYSTEM OBTAINED. HE DESCRIBES ANOTHER PRINCIPLE OF OPTICAL CONTROL USING ABSORBING PIPES, MAKING UP TWO INTERMINGLING COLLECTORS, FOR HOT WATER PRODUCTION AND FOR ROOM HEATING. HE PRESENTS ANOTHER TWO ALTERNATIVES OF INSULATING FACADES AND STUDIES THE MATHEMATICAL LAWS RELATING TO ROOF COMPONENTS AND GIVES EXAMPLES OF USE. R.R.
