Summary
Efforts are underway to develop modular refrigerators to ease the manufacturing process, as well as to make possible onsite assembly of custom refrigerators in homes throughout Europe, Canada and the US. One important design limitation for use of the framed panels in refrigerators manufactured in the US is, at least for now, size.
