Summary
A well-type refrigerator with hot walls is characterised by an evaporator and a condenser placed inside the insulation around the refrigerated space that is bonded to the opposite metallic sheets of the insulated walls. According to a mathematical model, based on the finite elements numerical technique, this design results in an increase of the refrigeration heat load of at least 25%, in comparison with a refrigerator with an external condenser.
