Type of article: Article
Summary
The author considers a single-zone air-handling unit and a two-zone space-heating system. Temperature responses of the air-handling unit with single and multiple input controls are given. Application of decentralized control to the two-zone space-heating system, with and without preview action, is described. The implementation of intelligent strategies such as variable cold-deck temperature and night setback is illustrated with examples.
