THE JOSEPHSON TUNNEL EFFECT HAS BEEN INTERPRETED ON THE BASIS OF THE RECENTLY PROPOSED TUNNELLING MODEL. THE TEMPERATURE DEPENDENCE OF THE PAIR TUNNELLING CURRENT HAS ALSO BEEN DERIVED ON THESE CONSIDERATIONS.
