Summary

Results of investigations of two-metal and crevice corrosion of carbon steel and copper alloys in aqueous solutions of lithium bromide are presented in the article. The effect of some inhibitors of corrosion of copper alloys and carbon steel in liquid, vapour phase and on the border of phase separation were investigated. It was found that the inhibiting composition, consisting of lithium chromate, lithium hydroxide, K-inhibitor and a surfactant, provides effective protection from corrosion in the phases of a 64% solution of lithium bromide.
