Summary

THIS PAPER DESCRIBES THE EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION RESULTS OF THREE AIR COOLER MODELS WHICH CONSIST OF THREE DIFFERENT PLATE-FIN TYPES (INTERRUPTED, RECTANGULAR AND TRIANGULAR FIN) UNDER DRY, WET AND VARIABLE INLET HUMIDITY CONDITIONS. THE AUTHORS HAVE OBTAINED THE GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS OF HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER AS THE AIR FLOWS ACROSS PLATE-FIN AIR COOLERS AND THE DIMENSIONLESS EQUATIONS OF HEAT TRANSFER, MASS TRANSFER AND SKIN FRICTION COEFFICIENT ON THREE DIFFERENT PLATE-FIN TYPES. THE DIMENSIONLESS EQUATIONS MAY BE EMPLOYED TO DESIGN THE SIMILAR TYPE PLATE-FIN AIR COOLER.
