Summary
The authors have carried out a systematic detailed comparison of five manual calculation methods proposed by five constructors for the users of their equipment in order to determine the size of residential individual air conditioners. They compare the five methods with each other and with two reference softwares by an analysis of: nature of data taken into account, values attributed to each parameter and the resulting sensitivity. The analysis is sythesized by a comparison of the refrigeration balance obtained by application of each method to a fundamental example and then to similar examples derived from the fundamental examples by varying only one parameter. Differences are detected and illustrated by several graphs. J.R.
