Summary
Work was carried out on 20 and 300 MVA superconductive turbogenerators. At the present time developmental studies and investigations are in progress concerning the structural elements of a future 1200 megawatt machine and the simulation of its normal and transient processes. These studies are part of the development of a new class of large electrical machines with high efficiency, smaller masses and higher reliability, compared to the conventional machines.
