INVESTIGATIONS OF MATERIALS AND MECHANICAL SEALINGS FOR CRYOGENIC MACHINES.
Author(s) : KERTYNSKA H., PAWLUS J.
Summary
THE SUITABILITY OF SEALS FOR LOW TEMPERATURE OPERATION DEPENDS ON THE MATERIALS SELECTED ACCORDING TO GAPS AND FRICTION AND ON OTHER STRUCTURAL PARAMETERS. THE RESULTS OF TESTS CARRIED OUT ON LEAKAGE AND THE WEAR OF MATERIALS CAN BE USED FOR BUILDING THE SEALS OF ROTARY MACHINES FOR CRYOGENICS.
