[In Japanese. / En japonais.]
Author(s) : WATANABE K., WATANABE M.
Type of article: Article
Summary
THE AUTHORS HAVE DEVELOPED A UNIQUE SKATING RINK SYSTEM CALLED < ART SKATING RINK >. THIS RINK SYSTEM FEATURES SPECIAL LUMINOUS BODIES EMBEDDED IN THE ICE WHICH GIVE OFF RED, YELLOW, GREEN AND OTHER COLOURS OF LIGHT BY MEANS OF LIGHT EMITTING DIODES AND MINIATURE INCANDESCENT BULBS. THE MICROCOMPUTER CONTROL SYSTEM ENABLES THESE BRILLIANT PATTERNS AND FIGURES TO BE CHANGED IN A VARIETY OF WAYS IN SYNCHRONIZATION WITH MUSIC OR ILLUMINATION PROJECTED ONTO THE ICE. THIS MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO CREATE THE COLOURFUL ATMOSPHERE OF AN ICE DISCO.
