Liquid helium flowmeters: state of the art and future developments.

Summary

The characteristics of the different families of transducers tested in cryogenic helium during recent years are reported and discussed. Directions are given to facilitate the designer in choosing the most suitable type of transducer, according to the thermodynamic conditions of helium (saturated, sub-cooled, supercritical, superfluid) and depending on particular requirements of specific applications.
