Summary

These proceedings include the complete collection of all technical and symposium papers (119) presented at the 1999 annual Meeting, in Seattle, Washington, USA. Topics include: water treatment for the year 2000; alternative refrigerants for unitary air conditioners and heat pumps; developments in the design and application of refrigeration control valves; commercial airline air quality standard; advances in thermal and fluid aspects of alternative refrigerants/refrigerant mixtures; using new weather data software products; defrost methods and their impact on product temperature and system energy use; performance of air diffusion systems in terms of thermal comfort; IAQ and energy efficiency.
