LOW THERMAL CONTRACTION GLASS FIBRE REINFORCED PLASTICS.
Author(s) : KADOTANI K., AKI F.
Type of article: Article
Summary
THE LINEAR THERMAL CONTRACTION FROM 300 TO 77 K IN THE DIRECTION NORMAL TO THE PLANE OF THE LAMINATIONS IS THE SAME AS THAT OF THE SUPERCONDUCTOR. ULTIMATE COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH AT 300 K IS MORE THAN 800 MPA. THESE HIGH-DENSITY VOIDLESS GLASS FIBRE REINFORCED PLASTICS ARE SUITABLE FOR SPACERS IN LARGE SUPERCONDUCTING COILS.
