Summary

Low-field alternating current magnetic properties of granular superconducting systems were studied using a model in which the existence of closed loops with weak links is assumed. The periodicity condition of the superconducting order parameter leads to the existence of a family of stable energy states and saddle points in the phase space of the system. The dynamics of thermally activated hopping transitions through the energy barriers between neighbouring stable states is considered. The imaginary part of the alternating current magnetic susceptibility is calculated for different temperatures and magnetic field amplitudes.
