FOR A LONG TIME FERROMAGNETIC MATERIALS SUCH AS IRON HAVE OFFERED SHIELDING POSSIBILITIES AGAINST MAGNETIC FIELDS, BUT WITH THE RECENT DEVELOPMENT OF SUPERCONDUCTING OXIDES, THE MEISSNER EFFECT HAS BECOME THE BASIS FOR NEW APPLICABLE METHODS. THE ARTICLE REPORTS TESTS AND MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS UNDERTAKEN FOR THIS PURPOSE.
