Orbital glass in high-temperature superconductors: a new state of condensed matter.

Author(s) : KUSMARTSEV F. V.

Type of article: Article

Summary

The author shows that in granular high-temperature superconductors at small magnetic fields the Meissner effect may disappear. A possible explanation for this effect may be related to the existence of special loops of Josephson junctions with positive and negative Josephson couplings. Experiments confirm the prediction of the author's theory on the existence of a new critical field, which he calls the orbital glass critical field.
