Summary

The paper presents the scopes of EUROVENT/CECOMAF, a new organization of European manufacturers of air handling, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. In particular, the EUROVENT voluntary product certification system is illustrated, which is based on CEN, ISO and EUROVENT standards and is open to all companies. For now, the following products are involved: comfort and close control air conditioners of up to 100 kilowatts cooling capacity, fan-coil units of up to 0.7 m3/s and 65 pascals static pressure, liquid chilling packages of up to 500 kilowatts refrigerating capacity. A directory of certified products is available.
