MATHEMATICAL MODELLING OF THE VELOCITY FIELD OF A CLOSED ROOM WITH AN ARTIFICIAL AIRING.

Author(s) : VAJDA J.

Summary

THE METHOD OF COMPLEX POTENTIALS PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY TO DEFINE MATHEMATICALLY IN 2 DIMENSIONS THE VELOCITY FIELD OF SOME ARTIFICIALLY VENTILATED CLOSED ROOMS. VERIFYING THE GOODNESS OF THE MATHEMATICAL MODEL, THE STREAMLINES DEFINED BY CALCULATING WERE COMPARED WITH THE ONES THE RUNNING DOWN OF WHICH IN A GIVEN CROSS-SECTION WAS MADE VISIBLE WITH SMOKE DURING A TEST. THE RESULTS PROVE THAT THE STREAMLINES DEFINED IN 2 WAYS APPROACH EACH OTHER IN CERTAIN CASES QUITE WELL AND THE CALCULATED AIR SPEED VALUES PRESENTTHEMSELVES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS TOO.
