Summary
One of the new models is specifically designed for portable and car use, and will be introduced in the Japanese market this summer. The first two models were introduced in 1997 in Japan, and are used in the guest rooms of several leading Japanese and US hotels which have been drawn to the units' ultra quiet operation and lighter weight. US sales of the first two models commenced in February 1998. These new units also achieve one-third the power consumption of conventional Peltier system refrigerators.
