Summary

A MEASUREMENT TECHNIQUE KNOWN AS < SANDWICH HOLOGRAPHY > WAS USED IN ORDER TO DETERMINE THE COEFFICIENT OF DIFFUSION IN LITHIUM BROMIDE SOLUTIONS. THE VARIATIONS IN SALT CONCENTRATION DUE TO THE DIFFUSION PROCESS WERE REVEALED BY MEANS OF INTERFEROMETRIC TECHNIQUES AND INTERPRETED BY THE FICK LAW. THE < SANDWICH HOLOGRAPHY > TECHNIQUE HAS BEEN PERFECTED FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF THE AUTOMATION OF OPERATIONS, WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE STORAGE OF INFORMATION AND ITS SUBSEQUENT DECODIFICATION AND ANALYSIS. EXPERIMENTAL DATA ON THE DIFFUSION COEFFICIENT IN LITHIUM BROMIDE SOLUTIONS ARE REPORTED. E. F.
