MECHANICAL REFRIGERATION USING AN EJECTOR-INJECTOR TO TRANSFER THE WORKING FLUID FROM EVAPORATOR TO CONDENSER.

Author(s) : BEVILACQUA P.

Summary

AN EJECTOR DRAWS THE FLUID FROM THE EVAPORATOR AND DELIVERS IT TO THE CONDENSER. THEN, A PUMP DRAWS THE LIQUID FROM THE CONDENSER AND DELIVERS IT TO A VESSEL. FINALLY, UPSTREAM OF THE EJECTOR-INJECTOR, A HEAT EXCHANGER HEATS THE REFRIGERANT IN ORDER TO SEND, TO THE CONDENSER, THE MIXTURE WITH THE VAPOUR COMING FROM THE EVAPORATOR. THE KINETIC ENERGY OF THE VAPOUR IN THE EJECTOR MAKES THE VAPOUR COMPRESSION POSSIBLE, AND THE PUMP PROVIDES A DISCHARGE PRESSURE ALLOWING THE UNIT OPERATION. WITH SUCH A UNIT, ENERGY SAVINGS ARE POSSIBLE.
