Summary
The advantages are shown of using metal-hydride refrigeration machines and heat pumps; their thermodynamic efficiency is analyzed and their mass and compactness are determined. Depending on the degree of perfection of the metal-hydride refrigeration machine having a cooling capacity of 1 kilowatt, its mass can vary between 1.33 and 7 kg. C.C.
