Summary

The paper is focused on the methodology of the energy performance calculation and certification of buildings which is one of main measurements of the EPBD II directive. The paper aims to find methods for the energy performance of buildings calculation which are lively discussed on the national level - Czech Republic. The paper is focused on te specification of energy performance of buildings calculation and certification methods which can be implemented on the national level. EPBD II requirements will be regulated by provisions of national law coming into effect 1st January 2013 (amendment of law no. 406/2000 coll., and amendments of Degree no. 148/2007 coll.). Above mentioned legislation is now under discussion. The paper aims to find widely acceptable solutions to the energy certification of buildings.
