Summary

A THOROUGH EXAMINATION OF STATISTICS SHOWED ACCURATELY THAT OVERHEATING OF COMPRESSORS IS TO A LARGE EXTENT THE MOST FREQUENT CAUSE OF BREAKDOWN OF SEMI-HERMETIC COMPRESSORS. THE AUTHOR GIVES DATA ON THE ALLOWABLE FINAL COMPRESSION TEMPERATURE AND ON THE TEMPERATURE OF SUCTION GASES AND DESCRIBES THE MEANS FOR CONTROLLING THEM.
