Summary

STATES THAT IN AIR CONDITIONING MIXING CHAMBERS THE TEMPERATURES OF THE FLOWSOF OUTSIDE AIR AND RECIRCULATION AIR OFTEN REMAIN UNCHANGED FOR SEVERAL METRES. THIS CAN LEAD TO FREEZING OF THE PREHEATER IN THE WINTER, EVEN THOUGH THE AIR TEMPERATURE SHOULD BE ABOVE ZERO IN THEORY. THE FROST PROTECTION RELAY CLOSES DOWN THE INSTALLATION, WHICH HAS TO BE RESTARTED BY STAFF. DESCRIBES PREVIOUS SOLUTIONS TO THE PROBLEM OF ACHIEVING EFFICIENT MIXING AND NOTES THEIR DRAWBACKS.
