Summary

PRESENTS A SUMMARY OF PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE OBTAINED IN THE COURSE OF DESIGNING AND FUNCTIONAL CHECKING OF MIXING UNITS FOR AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS. REPEATED BREAKDOWNS IN OPERATION, SUCH AS TRIPPING OF FROST PROTECTION UNITS, FREEZING OF HOT AIR UNITS AND HUMIDIFIERS, HAVE BEEN ANALYSED. THIS HAS RESULTED IN REQUIREMENTS CONCERNING THE DETAILING OF PARTS OF THE INSTALLATION AND IN SPECIFICATION OF DIMENSIONS. ALL PARTS OF THE INSTALLATION WHICH AFFECT THE FUNCTION OF THE MIXING UNIT, SUCH AS FANS, DAMPERS, SWIRL DEVICES, FILTERS, TERMINAL DEVICES, DUCTS AND CONTROL SYSTEMS, ARE DISCUSSED. (INT. BUILD.
