Summary

THE EFFECTS OF BUILDING MASS AND FURNISHINGS AND THERMOSTAT CHARACTERISTICS ON THE CYCLIC RESPONSE OF AN HVAC SYSTEM ARE STUDIED WITH A THERMOSTAT MODEL. THE EFFECTS OF ADDED FURNITURE AND OF THE ANTICIPATOR ON THE DUTY CYCLE OF AN AIR CONDITIONING UNIT WERE MODELLED AND COMPARED WITH MEASURED FIELD DATA.
