Summary

THE MODEL PROPOSED IS BASED ON THE BREAKING OF THE MACHINE INTO SEPARATE COMPONENTS. THE EVAPORATOR INCLUDES AN EVAPORATION AND A SUPERHEATING ZONE WHERE CHEN'S AND DITTUS-BOELTER'S CORRELATIONS ARE APPLIED,RESPECTIVELY. THE CONDENSER IS DIVIDED INTO THREE ZONES: DESUPERHEATING, CONDENSATION, SUBCOOLING. THE COMPRESSOR MODEL TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THE PRESENCE OF THE CLEARANCE VOLUME, IRREVERSIBILITIES OF COMPRESSION AND EXPANSION OF THE RESIDUAL FLUID AND PRESSURE DROPS DUE TO THROTTLING IN VALVES. THE MODELLING OF THE EXPANSION VALVE IS OF THE EMPIRICAL TYPE. THE DIFFERENT MODELS ARE RELATED TO ONE ANOTHER BY THE CONTINUITY OF REFRIGERANT CHARACTERISTICS AND BY OVERALL AND LOCAL MASS BALANCES.
