Modelling of the influence of capacity control on the working process of a refrigeration screw compressor.
Author(s) : KOVACEVIC A., STOSIC N.
Summary
There are three methods of screw compressor capacity control, namely: shaft speed variation, suction throttling and variation of the suction volume. These have been analyzed and are compared by the use of a standard mathematical model which has been adapted for this purpose. A two-stage expansion with an economizer cycle is also considered.
