Summary

A COMPLEX COMPUTER MODEL FOR SUPERMARKET REFRIGERATION HAS BEEN PRODUCED. AS WELL AS INBUILT DATA FOR CLIMATIC CONDITIONS AND BUILDING ENERGY NEEDS, COMPONENT MODELS INCLUDE SINGLE OR MULTIPLE COMPRESSOR SYSTEMS, ALL TYPES OF DISPLAY CASE, ALL CONDENSING MODES, DEFROSTING, SUBCOOLING AND HEAT RECOVERY. ADDITIONAL MODELS CAN BE ADDED. SO FAR ONLY R12, R502 AND R22 ARE PROGRAMMED, BUT TWO-STAGE R22 SYSTEMS ARE BEING ADDED AND WORK IS IN HAND ON ALTERNATIVE REFRIGERANTS. THE MODEL WAS PROVED ON ACTUAL SYSTEMS AND IS INVALUABLE IN RETROFITTING OR NEW DESIGN FOR THE MOST ENERGY EFFICIENT SYSTEM. D.W.H.
