THE REFRIGERATING SYSTEMS USED AT PRESENT IN SUPERMARKETS ARE PRESENTED, SUCCESSIVELY STUDYING THE USE OF REFRIGERATION BY DISPLAY CABINETS AND COLD ROOMS, THE REFRIGERATION PLANT IN OPERATION, ELECTRIC POWER CONSUMPTION. THE AUTHOR DISCUSSES THE MEASURES TO BE TAKEN IN ORDER TO DECREASE POWER CONSUMPTION AND OPERATING COSTS, STUDYING THE ECONOMIC MEASURES FOR DISPLAY CABINETS, THE USE OF COMPOUND REFRIGERATING MACHINES AND CONDENSERS WITH PROPELLER FANS AND THE NEW DEVELOPMENTS OF THE SYSTEMS WITH COMPOUND REFRIGERATION PLANT AND THE USE OF WASTE HEAT.
