Summary

INCREASED DEMANDS FOR SAVING ENERGY AND MATERIALS DO NOT ONLY CALL FOR THE USE OF LOW-ENERGY COMPRESSORS IN HOUSEHOLD REFRIGERATORS AND FREEZERS BUT ALSO FOR AN OPTIMUM COMPRESSOR-UNIT ADAPTATION. IT IS SHOWN HOW THE ENERGETICALLY OPTIMAL OPERATING RANGE OF THE COMPRESSOR IS FOUND UNDER THE REAL CONDITIONS. THE RESULT OF THE METHOD, WHICH IS EXPLAINED BY MEANS OF A GRAPHIC EXAMPLE, IS THE CHOICE OF THE PROPER DRIVE MOTOR AND COMPRESSOR, WITH ALL MOMENT RESERVES BEING UTILISED FOR THE SPECIAL CONDITIONS AS THEY PREVAIL IN STARTING AND DURING OPERATION OF CAPILLARY REFRIGERATORS.
