Summary
Modern electronic control components for the liquid-feed regulation of dry evaporators are explained. Advanced proportional capacity controls by means of electronic liquid injection into evaporators are proposed, allowing the operation of water chillers without buffer facilities. Direct-expansion equipment can be controlled with liquid injection as subtle as chilled water heat exchangers. With this new control approach, custom-designed, space- and energy-efficient refrigeration units can be built.
