Summary
THE AUTHORS REPORT RESULTS OF THEORETICAL STUDIES WHICH MADE IT POSSIBLE TO OBTAIN A MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF RECIPROCATING COMPRESSORS. COMPUTER PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED, FOR DETERMINING THE REFRIGERATING CAPACITY, THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION, THE SPECIFIC REFRIGERATING CAPACITY, THE STARTING TIME AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS, AS WELL AS, CONVERSELY, FOR ENSURING AN OPTIMUM DESIGN OF COMPRESSOR. THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE DESIGN OF THE NEW COMPRESSORS ARE DESCRIBED. TESTS WERE PERFORMED ON THESE COMPRESSORS WHICH PROVED TO BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH REQUIREMENTS. C.C.
