NOISE REDUCTION FOR AIR CONDITIONING UNITS.
Author(s) : THEODORO E. B., GERGES S. N. Y.
Summary
WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF REDUCING THE NOISE EMITTED BY CERTAIN EQUIPMENT, SUCH AS INDIVIDUAL AIR CONDITIONERS, THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES A CENTRIFUGAL-TYPE FAN CONSISTING OF A STACK OF FLAT DISCS WHICH PRODUCE LESS NOISE THAN CONVENTIONAL FANS. THE FAN ALSO HAS A NOISE DAMPER WHICH IS PARTICULARLY EFFICIENT IN THE FREQUENCY RANGE OF 2,000 TO 8.000 HERTZ.
