Non equilibrium model of an evaporation front.
Author(s) : AVKSENTYUK B. P.
Type of article: Article
Summary
An analytical model of propagation of the evaporation front into the metastable liquid was developed. The reliability of the model was confirmed by comparison with experimental data derived under conditions when the influence of vapour condensation is insignificant. The subcooling of bulk liquid does not exert any appreciable influence on the propagation velocity of the evaporation front.
