Summary

NONLINEAR PROPAGATION OF SOUND WAVES IN SUPERCONDUCTING GALLIUM SAMPLES OF DIFFERENT PURITY WAS STUDIED IN A WIDE TEMPERATURE RANGE. A COMPARATIVELY WEAK DEPENDENCE OF THE NONLINEAR CONTRIBUTION IN THE ELECTRON SCATTERING INTENSITY HAS BEEN OBSERVED. APPLICABILITY OF VARIOUS MECHANISMS FOR THE EXPLANATION OF THE OBSERVED PHENOMENA IS DISCUSSED.
