Numerical and experimental study on a variable conductance heat pipe.
Etude numérique et expérimentale d'un caloduc à conductance variable (CCV).
Author(s) : MEZAACHE E., OMARA A., FERAH M. S.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The authors describe the designed variable conductance heat pipe, and the heating, cooling and measurement systems. They then present experimental results obtained with a heat pipe using water as working fluid and helium as the non-condensable gas. Additionally, they examine the influence of the heat flux, the mass of non-condensable gas, the Biot number and the phase-change parameter on the vapour and wall temperatures.
