Summary

THE PROBLEM OF CALCULATING THE CRITICAL TEMPERATURE OF A SUPERCONDUCTOR WITH A PLANE DEFECT IS SOLVED UNDER SOME GENERAL ASSUMPTIONS REGARDING THE DEFECT. THE EQUIVALENCE OF THE SUPERCONDUCTING PROPERTIES OF A TOPOLOGICAL DEFECT OF THE TWINNING PLANE TYPE AND THOSE OF A SCATTERING DEFECT OF THE FOREIGN ATOM MONOLAYER TYPE IS PROVEN. IT IS SHOWN THAT ALONG WITH THE BUZDIN-BULAYEVSKY PATTERN A PRINCIPALLY DIFFERENT ONE IS POSSIBLE WHICH COMPLETELY MODIFIES THE INTERPRETATION OF THE EXPERIMENTAL DATA OF KHAIKIN AND KHLYUSTIKOV. IN CONTRAST TO THE FIRST INTERPRETATION THIS LEADS TO REASONABLE VALUES OF THE MACROSCOPIC PARAMETERS. THE POSSIBILITY OF ATTAINING HIGH CRITICAL TEMPERATURE VALUES IN SUCH SYSTEMS IS DISCUSSED.
