Summary

An important parameter for the magnitude of coupling currents between the strands of superconducting cables is the interstrand resistance. Especially when calculating the coupling loss and effective resistivity of a superconducting cable, the value of the interstrand resistance plays an essential role. In fact, the value of the contact resistance depends on a variety of factors. In the paper, results are presented of an experimental study of the value of the interstrand contact resistances. The dependence of these values on a number of conditions described above will be given.
