THE BOUNDARIES ARE DETERMINED WHICH SEPARATE THE REGIONS OF EX ISTENCE AND STABILITY OF DIFFERENT STATES OF ROTATING HELIUM -NORMAL, VORTEX-FREE SUPERFLUID, AND SUPERFLUID WITH A VORTEX ALONG THE ROTATION AXIS. THE VORTEX FORMATION IS DISCUSSED AS A FACTOR MAINTAINING SUPERFLUIDITY.
