Open-cycle solar absorption cooling and its applicability to residential buildings in Italy.
[In Italian. / En italien.]
Author(s) : LAURITANO A., MARANO D.
Type of article: Article
Summary
After a brief description of this cycle and its advantages, the authors present a mathematical model for sizing the system based on the hourly profile of the thermal load and on the main climatic data, such as total solar radiation on the collector surface, ambient humidity ratio, dry bulb air temperature and wind velocity. Some results of parametric analysis are also shown that indicate the effect on the system performance of the most critical parameters.
