Summary

A NEW TECHNOLOGY WAS DEVELOPED FOR THE VISUALIZATION OF VALVE MOTION IN DOMESTIC REFRIGERATOR COMPRESSORS DURING THEIR MANUFACTURING. NEUTRON RADIOGRAPHIC TECHNIQUES UTILIZING NEUTRON RADIATION OF A RESEARCH REACTOR ARE APPLIED. LOW INTENSITY LIGHT OBTAINED IN A SCINTILLATOR LIGHT CONVERTER IS ADJUSTED AND PROJECTED TO A HIGH SENSITIVITY TV CAMERA FOR SUBSEQUENT DISPLAY OR VIDEO RECORDING. THIS RADIOGRAPHIC SYSTEM WAS MODIFIED SO THAT IT COULD BE UTILIZED FOR THE VISUALIZATION OF COMPRESSOR VALVES DURING COMPRESSOR OPERATION.
