Type of article: Article
Summary
OUTLINES THE LARGE POTENTIAL FOR ENERGY SAVINGS IN FRG BY IMPROVING THE THERMAL INSULATION OF BUILDINGS. SETS OUT A CALCULATION PROCEDURE FOR DETERMINING THE INSULATION THICKNESSES OF EXTERNAL BUILDING STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS WHICH RESULT IN MINIMUM TOTAL ANNUAL COSTS. STATES THESE ARE DETERMINED BY THE REQUIRED INVESTMENTS FOR THE THERMAL INSULATION, POTENTIAL SAVINGS IN THE BOILER HOUSE, FOR HEAT DISTRIBUTION, AND IN RUNNING COSTS. SUPPLIES CALCULATION EXAMPLES.
