Summary

The work describes the development of an optimization study of a solar powered SE/DL absorption chiller in the design stage. This was done by economically and energetically optimization of the absorption chiller and efficient design of the solar unit, that increase the overall efficiency of the entire system. The combined process parameters corresponding to the minimum yearly system overall cost were determined. Derived results allow optimization of design, operation and preliminary yearly economic assessment of small-scale low-temperature absorption chiller.
