The author has developed, tested and widely applied new effective solutions for cold store floorings over the last 18 years, including frost-heave protective systems. The low-joint or monolithically joined single-layer hard concrete floor and the central frost-heave protective heating system are of special importance because these two solutions can easily be combined.
