Summary

FIBER REINFORCED PLASTICS (FRP) HAVE BEEN USED IN CRYOGENIC AP PLICATION BECAUSE OF THEIR GOOD MECHANICAL AND THERMAL PROPERTIES. IN THE PAPER, FRPS USED IN A CRYOGENIC ENVIRONMENT, ESPECIALLY THEIR REINFORCEMENTS, MATRICES AND MOULDING METHODS, ARE SURVEYED. THE BASIC CRYOGENIC PROPERTIES OF VARIOUS FRPS ARE SUMMARIZED AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH-PERFORMANCE FRPS IS DISCUSSED.
