Summary

EXISTING SEALS FOR BEVERAGE COOLER TANK INTERSTICES USING WATER GLASS-CRUSHED CORK MIXTURES DO NOT RESIST TEMPERATURE CHANGES ARISING AROUND THE COOLING COIL. A NEW RESILIENT TYPE RESIN EPOXY WITH A SLOWER GELATINIZING PROCESS AND SLOWER AGING HAS BEEN DEVELOPED FOR THIS PURPOSE AND FORMULATIONS OF BINDING FILLER COMPOUNDS ARE GIVEN. THE NEW COMPOUND RESISTS TEMPERATURE CHANGES IN THE RANGE 233 TO 353 K (-40 TO 80 DEG C) AND ITS TENSILE STRENGTH IS IN EXCESS OF 1 MPASCAL.
