Panel cooling: a design procedure based on comfort analysis.

Author(s) : BRUNELLO P., ZECCHIN R.

Summary

Since cooling systems with low temperature panels are proposed for various applications, especially in connection with primary air, the thermal behaviour of a room equipped with this kind of terminal units has been analized, and a detailed simulation model taking into account the comfort conditions of the inhabitants has been described. A simplified procedure has been set up to determine the most important parameters from the designer's point of view, i.e. the maximum cooling load and minimum surface temperature of the panel during a design day.
